Are your engineers on the DoorSafe Register?

When a customer appoints an engineer to work on their automatic doors, gates, barriers or turnstiles, they’re placing a great deal of trust in that individual. They expect the person arriving on site to be knowledgeable, competent and suitably trained.

But how do they verify that?

That’s exactly why the DoorSafe Register exists.

More Than Just a List

The DoorSafe Register is designed to give contractors, facilities managers, end users and fellow industry professionals confidence that the engineers they are appointing have completed recognised ADIA training and are employed by a current ADIA member company.

Rather than relying solely on paperwork or certificates, the register provides a simple way to verify an engineer’s qualifications and accreditation.

Every ADIA Engineer Card also includes a unique QR code which links directly to the engineer’s DoorSafe profile, allowing qualifications to be checked instantly while on site.

It’s a small feature that can make a big difference when demonstrating competence and professionalism.

Who Can Be Listed?

Engineers who have successfully completed ADIA training in the following disciplines are eligible to appear on the DoorSafe Register:

These qualifications demonstrate that an engineer has invested in developing their knowledge and understanding of current industry standards and safe working practices.

Why Accreditation Matters

Training isn’t simply about gaining another certificate.

It’s about understanding the legislation, standards and responsibilities that come with working on safety-critical equipment.

Customers are increasingly asking questions about competence. Principal contractors are demanding evidence of training. Facilities managers want reassurance that the engineers attending their sites understand the standards they’re working to.

Being able to point them towards an independently maintained register gives an additional level of confidence that paperwork alone often can’t provide.

For engineers, it’s recognition of their professional development.

For employers, it’s another way of demonstrating the quality and capability of their workforce.

Not on the Register Yet?

If your engineers aren’t currently listed, now is the perfect opportunity to change that.

Completing ADIA training doesn’t just expand technical knowledge—it provides recognised accreditation and eligibility to join the DoorSafe Register, helping your engineers demonstrate their competence to customers and clients.

Better still, many members already have training included within their membership.

  • Installer Members receive one FREE training course every year.
  • All ADIA members receive one FREE City & Guilds accredited Gate & Barrier Safety course.

If you’ve been considering booking training, there’s never been a better time to invest in your engineers and showcase their expertise.

Already Completed a Course?

Think one of your engineers should already be on the DoorSafe Register?

Get in touch and we’ll happily check.

Occasionally an engineer may need to refresh a qualification, or company details may simply need updating before the profile can be displayed.

Remember, the DoorSafe Register is available exclusively to engineers employed by current ADIA member companies.

Professionalism doesn’t stop once training ends. The DoorSafe Register helps ensure that competence remains visible long after the course has been completed.
