We are now actively recruiting for Service Engineers (automatic door maintenance) in the following areas:-.





North London

This is a mobile maintenance role therefore a full UK driving license is required.

The successful engineer will provide a technical service with the minimum of supervision to the company’s clients in respect of automatic doors maintenance. The role will also involve building services repairs, alteration, maintenance and minor installations.



To undertake automatic doors reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.

To actively undertake automatic proactive maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by a client) identified on site.

To undertake PPM works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.

To undertake new installations, major and minor repair works and attend to breakdown’s when required.

To complete repairs/ breakdowns in electrical, AC, gas or fabric (plumbing, minor joinery, tiling, painting and plastering) where required and dependent on engineer qualifications/discipline.

To comply with the client and GSH Health & Safety requirements at all times.

To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.

Applications are invited from service engineers with previous automatic door servicing and maintenance experience. Candidates who have previous experience in building services maintenance will be preferred.

It is essential that applicants have completed the BS EN 16005 City & Guilds or BS 7036 Automatic Doors Installation Association (ADIA) Safety at Powered Doors for Pedestrian Use qualification. Both the theory and practical elements.


Desirable Requirement:

A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a building services discipline ideally to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, e.g. electrical, gas, air conditioning or HVAC.

Permanent position available for a successful candidate, van, power tools and uniform provided. Must be a good team member but work well alone and be able to use own initiative.
Good communication skills are required for dealing with clients and public alike and to be qualified to a minimum of BS7036 but further training available.
Must have experience on a range of manufacturers products. Salary and duties to be discussed at interview. Ideally based in Newport/Cardiff area as majority of work in South Wales.
