End-of-Year To-Do List for ADIA Members

As 2025 draws to a close, it’s the ideal time for engineers and companies to carry out a quick end-of-year check to ensure your business is compliant, visible, and ready for a strong start to 2026.

This simple list will help you tie up loose ends, update your details, and make sure you’re getting the most out of your ADIA membership.

✅ 1. Check Your BS EN16005 Expiry Dates

The BS EN16005 must be refreshed every four years, and many engineers don’t realise they’re close to expiry until the new year rush begins.
Checking now ensures:

  • You remain compliant

  • You stay listed on the DoorSafe Register

  • Your QR-coded ID card continues to verify correctly.

Clients expect trained, accredited engineers—especially over the winter period when breakdowns naturally increase.

If you’re due soon, the online refresher is the quickest way to update your qualification.

Make sure all your engineers are covered for the work you’re quoting for.

✅ 3. Update Your ADIA Directory Listing

Your company profile is a major source of visibility for potential clients. It’s our most visited page on our website.

Before the Christmas holidays, check:

  • Company details such as email, website and contact name

  • Whether your company appears correctly on the directory map

  • That your description really shows off who you are

A few minutes of updating now can prevent missed enquiries in January. Update here

✅ 4. Make Sure All Engineers Are on the DoorSafe Register

The DoorSafe Register is one of the most visited areas of our site, with hundreds of views every month.

Ensure:

  • All passed engineers are listed

  • No expired qualifications are showing

  • Names match those on ID cards

  • Any new staff have been added

This helps your business stand out as safe, compliant, and accountable.

✅ 5. Get Your Service Forms

These forms save time and support consistency across your installations and servicing.

You can sign up for online forms and get them sent directly to yourself and your client making life easier and paper free!

✅ 6. Order Your Shop Items

Before the ADIA is closed for Christmas, all shop orders should be placed before 17 December.

✅ 7. Plan Your 2026 Training & Compliance Goals

A simple list is all you need. For example:

  • Complete BS EN16005 refresher by March

  • Add 2 engineers to Industrial Door Safety

  • Train juniors in Gate & Barrier

Setting early goals avoids reactive, last-minute bookings when the busy season returns.

🟦 Start 2026 Prepared, Compliant and Confident

A short end-of-year review helps ensure your business stays visible, safe, and ahead of regulations.

Whether it’s refreshing training, updating your profile, or reviewing your benefits, completing this checklist now can save time and stress in the new year.
