As you will probably know by now, CITB is reform the Grant Scheme as of April 1st 2018. Below are details of the changes.
There are a number of areas of change within the Grants Scheme that will be phased in from 1 April 2018. Below we give you an overview of these changes. They include automating the payment of grant for short duration courses, when CITB receives information on the training outcomes. When this is introduced, it will remove the need to submit Training Plans and we will give you notice of this change.
From 1 April 2018 Grants Scheme support will be paid primarily for:
Supplementary Grant payments to stop
Supplementary Grant payments have been paid to employers in the past for submitting their Levy Return and paying their levy assessment on time. Supplementary Grant will be withdrawn from 1 April 2018. This includes not paying Supplementary grant on training that has commenced before this date and is continuing beyond it.
The decision to stop paying this Grant is because it was only benefitting a minority of employers and the Grants Scheme is designed to reach as wide a pool of employers as possible.
