Whether the BS EN16005 has been taken by your engineers or not, this is a great starting point for newer engineers and the best way to push experience and certifications to the next level.


By the end of the course, you and your engineers will be able to:

  • Recognise faults with automatic doors,
  • Know how to rectify the faults in accordance with the BS EN16005,
  • Recognise the components of automatic swing and slide doors,
  • Understand how to prevent incidents whilst servicing doors,
  • Understand what a risk assessment is and why it is important to comply with the BS EN16005,
  • How to complete an ADIA automatic door risk assessment form,
  • How to use your toolkit to complete risk assessment when maintaining and servicing automatic doors.

At the end of the course you will receive a certificate to display your understanding of the Service and Maintenance Course.

The course will be £650 + VAT which includes:

  • ADIA e-learning Fault Finding Course (worth £150 + VAT),
  • Online self-study and learning with quizzes and mock exams,
  • Practical training day with assessments and final exam including lunch,
  • Engineer toolkit candidates need to service & maintain the automatic doors including: a newton meter, ADIA tape measure and an ADIA Test Box (worth £100 +VAT).

The course will be launching 30th October 2017 and is for ADIA members only. A direct link will be emailed to members and added to the website once the course is live!

We will be publishing the link to the application when the course is live. Courses must be paid for before having access to course material.  This is not a part of the ADIA BS EN16005 Course and Exam, accredited by City & Guilds.
