End of Year Update and Christmas Opening Hours

2021 has seen the UK attempt to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s still been a tricky time to run a business and to get back to “normal”. However, we are incredibly proud of our members for not letting the restrictions get in the way of what is important.

You and our other members have continued to support the ADIA in our mission to create a safer industry. One that is evergrowing and in constant need from other industries such as healthcare, retail and leisure. With more of these businesses getting back to normality and experiencing higher levels of pedestrian traffic, the automatic door industry is more important than ever. Why? Because you offer ease of access to the disabled and elderly, limit contact with surfaces and create access to those companies who need it most.  Some of our members offer security systems, others offer tools and equipment. But what all of you have in common is the goal of making sure the public stays safe by enrolling your engineers to partake in training specific to their roles within your business.

As mentioned in our December 2020 newsletter, automatic doors may have always seemed like a normal part of any premises within the UK and even the world. It’s paramount that for the automatic door industry safety comes first and foremost, whether it be for the installation or maintenance of an automatic pedestrian door.

This is why we are so happy that engineers are still working incredibly hard and completing our courses. We are proud to boast over 80 course completions.

We are also ever grateful for the continued support for what we do as an association. We have had over 20 new members join us this year and are glad to welcome all of them to the ADIA family.

2022 will see us continue to grow and develop our benefits, courses and membership allowing us to further develop what we can offer our members.

As opposed to last year, we have sent charity Christmas cards to you all as a small token of our gratitude for your membership. We hope you find it as beautiful as we do!

Anne, Paul and Laura wish you a very happy, safe and love-filled Christmas and New Year.
