We often get the question “why should we join your association?“. Other than the usual benefits, training opportunities and being the only association who has the BS EN16005 and BS 7036-0 accredited by City & Guilds, there are a few things we want you to consider.

Why join an association if you aren’t going to take advantage of the benefits on offer to you?
The discounts are handy but it’s also important that you put all your engineers through the relevant training and take advantage of the discount health and safety courses we have on offer. If we don’t have it, let us know and we will try and get you a discounted rate!
ARE YOU GOING TO PROMOTE YOUR MEMBERSHIP AND SKILLS?
Using the ADIA logo and, when you’ve passed the BS EN16005, DoorSafe logo on your email signature, letterheads and website are very important in showing potential clients that you are a part of something. You are showing clients “We mean business, we care about training and keeping updated within the industry.”
CAN YOU AFFORD TO NOT JOIN?
Without the quality training required, adhering to the BS EN16005, you could potentially cause an injury to the public. And then your company will be liable for damages because the correct training hadn’t been given. Just by paying your membership fee, you can get access to training with a City & Guilds accreditation (Installers get one course free PER YEAR). Both costs are a small price to pay in comparison to the potential damage you can do to your business and the public (especially children, the disabled and elderly). And you can’t just do any training. Here’s why our City & Guilds accreditation is so important and why you cannot put a price on safety.
In addition, more and more businesses are asking for trained engineers/ADIA members. This is because we promote our members by contacting retailers, NHS authorities, councils, contractors and more (over 3500 contacts in total).
